Often a poster will wish to quote a passage from a previous post.
There are two methods depending on whether you wish to include the whole post text or just a portion of the text.
To include the whole of the post text in your reply, simply click on the "Quote" icon at the top of the original post. This will automatically open a Reply page with the whole of the original post text already included. Hit "Post" to post the reply or "Preview" to see what it will look like when posted. If you preview do not forget to hit "Post" when you are satisfied with your reply.
To include just a part of the text in your reply, use the following method. (It may not work in the Opera Browser but has been checked for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome).
1. Select the required portion of the text by highlighting it.
2. Press CTRL+C (Press CTRL key and hold down while pressing the "C" key) to copy the text to the clipboard (computer's memory).
Hit the Reply icon which opens up a reply page.
3. Write your reply and select where you wish the quote to be displayed. This can be at the very start or at any place within the text of your reply.
4. Click on the "Insert Quote" icon in the line of icons above the text entry box. It is located at position 13 from the left. If the mouse pointer is hovered over it an information balloon will appear confirming it is the "insert Quote" icon.
5. The insert quote markers will appear at the position you selected in paragraph 3 above. The cursor will be located in the centre. Insert the quote by pressing CTRL+V
6. Hit "Post" to post the reply or "Preview" to see what it will look like when posted. If you preview do not forget to hit "Post" when you are satisfied with your reply.
